It's been 4 years since I've been to a church camp. And without having to prepare for O'levels or A'levels, it gave me no excuse to attend my church camp this June. I thank God for His mercy. I brought my burdens and worries to the camp. And for the first 2 days I wasn't able to really mix well with others maybe because I was too preoccupied with my thoughts. I was really unusually quiet, and kept to myself most of the time. It was really only on the 3rd morning of the camp that when I fasted and prayed during my quiet time that God really spoke to me.
The night before, there was an alter call to be prayed for. Many of them went up for prayer but I didn't. Didn't really feel the need to. But later my mum prompted to me that it'll be good to be prayed for by the speaker because God has anointed Him in certain ways. So that very morning, I qued up behind the que of adults waiting for him to sign on his books, and asked him for prayer. He asked me what I wanted to be prayed for. And I replied "To be filled with the Holy Spirit daily". And really that was what I needed. He had this surprising look on his face before he begin to pray for me.
The Father heart of God - that was the theme of the camp. And every time I watched the slide show, I am still amazed and in awe of His perfect love for us.

I just came back from the Spiritual Multiplier training camp last night. I'm really so thankful for the many opportunities that God gave to me to listen to people - to pray for them and to be prayed for. The camp lasted a short 2 days one night. And despite much time spent to practise with Linjin on the guitar for worship on Thurday morning, there were times throughout the camp where I spent personal time knowing my friends better.

I want to thank God for :-
1) His mercy and grace despite my shortcomings
2) Really showing me His love by placing specific individuals that allowed me to share with
3) For the good communication between Linjin and I during worship pratice (It was the first time for both of us!)
4) For being present on Thursday morning
5) Giving me the opportunity to learn how to disciple others

I really think Crusade is a good place where one can been better equiped in discipleship and in evangelism. And in mixing with like-minded people in terms of seeking God, I think I am spurred to live a more Godly life. It is an environment that people share your struggles as a student but yet bear each others burdens, and double each other's joy. In such an environment, and with the empowering of the Holy Spirit, I find release in being able to find so much freedom in being able to love others as God would have me to. Without which, knowing my selfish nature, I would be unable to. And without submitting to God, I know that by my own strength, I would not be able to see the breakthrough in living a life that I desire. There is so much fulfillment in being empowered.

I really want to encourage those Christians entering Uni to really seek a group that share the same purpose and passion for Christ - be it in church or in the University itself. It is so easy to be sweep away with the pressures of the world and so it is so much more essential that we not lose sight of the faith we believe in.
